Spazio Giallo Interiors Opens in Rome's Trastevere

architecture-design · 2026-04-27

A new hybrid space blending design, art, and interior decoration has opened in Rome. Spazio Giallo Interiors, located in Trastevere at Via dei Riari, 78, was founded by curators Carolina Levi and Cristiana Pacifico. The space is conceived as an 'audacious and multidisciplinary collective' open to creativity and the propagation of ideas. It functions as a laboratory where architects, interior decorators, designers, and selected artisans collaborate on original projects. The inaugural exhibition, 'La dialettica dell'immaginazione,' features works by artists including Benedetto Pietromarchi, Lulù Nuti, Caterina Silva, Nathalie Du Pasquier, Forma Fantasma, Sara Ricciardi, and Stefano Arienti, with wallpapers by PICTALAB. The exhibition explores the theme of home as an imaginative and dreamlike space. The opening is part of a broader wave of design galleries opening in Rome, following the recent expansion of Giustini/Stagetti gallery near Piazza di Spagna. Spazio Giallo also includes a pop-up bookstore in collaboration with IPPOCAMPO and EDITION SUR LIVRES, focusing on interior design, color, and children's books about design and ecology. The space was designed by Stamuli LAB, a group of young Italian architects based in Sweden. From May 5, 2022, a three-day event featuring readings by Veronica Raimo from her novel 'Niente di Vero' will celebrate the opening.
