Spazio Ex Caserma: New Ceramics Space Opens in Abruzzo

A new permanent research facility focused on contemporary ceramics, Spazio Ex Caserma, is set to launch in Loreto Aprutino, Italy, on October 11, 2025. This venue, situated at Via Roma 59, is a project of Fondazione No Man’s Land, established in May 2016 by architect Yona Friedman alongside gallerists Mario Pieroni and Dora Stiefelmeier. The foundation also oversees Cantiere Aperto, an outdoor exhibition series that merges art with olive groves and vineyards. Curator Alessandro Cocchieri describes the space as a dynamic laboratory for artistic practice, education, and collaborative experimentation. The opening exhibition will showcase works from various artists, including Marco Bagnoli and Felice Levini, and will offer workshops and educational initiatives in collaboration with local academic institutions.
