Spazio Chirale Opens Daniele Sigalot's 'Thousand Years From Now' in Rome
Spazio Chirale, a gallery and tech lab in Rome's Garbatella district, opens Daniele Sigalot's solo show 'Thousand Years From Now' on November 21, 2019. The exhibition features three works and a speech, including 'ENOUGH,' a light installation with a 31,556,908,800-second countdown (1,000 years) managed by a custom digital system. The work will later move to the RGB Light Experience IV in Pigneto/Tor Pignattara from November 29 to December 1. Founded in 2015 by Leonardo Zaccone, Rosita Esposito, and Stefano Varano, Spazio Chirale focuses on science, technology, arts, and crafts, offering training, consulting, and prototyping in high-tech, fashion, art, and design. It recently opened a FabLab at TAG Ostiense, a post-industrial innovation hub. The gallery has collaborated with Gonzalo Borondo on 'Merci' at Bordeaux's Temple des Chartrons (2019) and with Maurizio Mochetti, Salvatore Iaconesi, and Oriana Persico on 'Obiettivo,' a lamp that adjusts light intensity based on global poverty data. Spazio Chirale also partners with Accademia di Costume e Moda, presenting seven collections at Milan's graduate fashion week.
