SPAZIENNE: Five Artists Open Megazzino in Garbagnate Milanese

SPAZIENNE is a collective founded in 2014 by Nicolò Colciago, Stefano Comensoli, Federica Clerici, Alberto Bettinetti, and Giulia Fumagalli. Their first project, the exhibition +N1, took place in May 2014 in their then-empty studio in Garbagnate Milanese. The group explores space and possibility through a nomadic practice that activates diverse locations, from galleries to urban spaces. In December 2018, they inaugurated Megazzino, a 100-square-meter space adjacent to their studio dedicated to shared research and experimentation. Megazzino hosts events spanning music, video, literature, graphics, and theater, with no fixed programming. The ongoing exhibition series +N9 unfolds in three chapters: +N9/1 (December 2018–January 2019) by Bettinetti and Clerici, titled "Nella gravità del momento," an immersive environment exploring gravity's effect on spatial perception; +N9/2 (until April 7, 2019) by Comensoli and Colciago, titled "Multiverso," an installation combining paintings, seating, sculptures, lights, supports, and projections in a borderless space; and +N9/3 (May 2019) by Fumagalli, a solo show about the moon. The group emphasizes auto-curatorial practice and interdisciplinary contamination.
