SPAM Architecture Festival Returns to Rome with International Focus
The Ordine degli Architetti di Roma is set to host the second edition of SPAM – Settimana del Progetto di Architettura nel Mondo, from October 9 to 16, 2020, at the Acquario di Roma and online. Celebrating Rome's 150th year as Italy's capital, the festival is themed 'Needs' (Bisogni) and features prominent architects such as Teresa Sapey, Patricia Viel, and Bernard Tschumi, under the curation of Roberto Grio. A preview event on October 6 at Casa dell'Architettura will include speakers like Flavio Mangione and Virginia Raggi. The main event will consist of lectures, discussions, and roundtables with politicians. Additionally, a workshop focused on the EUR district, led by Vincenzo Latina, invites applications for three labs, each accommodating 12 participants, due by October 6.
