Spain extends €2 cinema tickets for seniors until 2027

other · 2026-05-19

The Spanish Council of Ministers has approved the renewal of the 'Cine Sénior' program, extending the €2 cinema ticket initiative for people aged 65 and over until July 2027. The program, promoted by the Ministry of Culture, will run from July 2026 to June 2027 with a budget of €11.5 million. This amount matches the third edition's final budget, which started in June 2025 with an initial €8.5 million and was later reinforced by an additional €3 million in February to prevent interruption. The new allocation represents a slight increase over the original third-edition funding.
