Spaces Architects Ka completes fluid, art-filled residence in New Delhi

New Delhi-based practice Spaces Architects Ka has completed The Art House, a 9,000-square-foot family residence in the upscale Ashok Vihar neighbourhood. The four-bedroom home spans six storeys and is defined by an intense level of customisation, with lighting, furniture, artworks, carpets and surface details individually designed for the project. Founder Kapil Aggarwal described the fluid sculptural language as dissolving boundaries between architecture, interiors, art, and light. The house features a double-height lounge with curved niches, a bar area, a party lounge with a jacuzzi topped by a tensile fabric ceiling from Divinam Structuray, and a sculptural light by Emanate Home. An orange spiral staircase connects the two terrace levels. The studio collaborated with artisans on in-house artwork and chose pared-back colours to let the art stand out. The exterior echoes the interior's soft edges and geometric cutouts. Aggarwal founded Spaces Architects Ka in 2012.
