SPA: New Private Art Space Opens in Oleggio, Italy

A new private exhibition venue, SPA (Spazio Per Arte), is set to debut on November 22, 2023, within the historic Palazzo Bellini located in Oleggio, Novara, Italy. Established by collectors Laura and Luigi Giordano, the space seeks to merge wellness with contemporary art, featuring free exhibitions, educational programs, and public events. The opening exhibition, titled "Bianco," curated by Rischa Paterlini, showcases pieces from the Giordano collection, predominantly featuring the color white. Over decades, the Giordanos have amassed works from notable artists including Gabriele Basilico, Anselm Kiefer, and Anthony Gormley. Luigi Giordano managed the family’s dairy business, the first mozzarella producer in Piedmont, until 2021. Renovation of Palazzo Bellini took over a year, led by Studio Binocle’s Lorenzo Bini alongside local heritage authorities.
