SOU School of Architecture for Children Opens in Turin
SOU, the School of Architecture for Children founded in 2015 at Farm Cultural Park in Favara, Sicily, by Florinda Saieva and Andrea Bartoli, is expanding to Turin. The Fondazione per l'architettura di Torino, led by President Gabriella Gedda and Director Eleonora Gerbotto, is bringing the program to the Piedmontese capital. Directed by Alice Furioso, SOUxTorino will launch its first course on October 18, 2022, with weekly sessions running until May 2023 at the Polo del '900. The curriculum, titled Radical She, focuses on gender equality and uniqueness, aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goal 5. Open Days are scheduled for October 1, 2022, at the Fondazione per l'architettura di Torino. The school targets children, introducing them to architecture through multidisciplinary teaching involving architects, artists, philosophers, botanists, illustrators, and graphic designers.
