Sotheby's Assegna 250.000 Dollari al Cinema Nero, Premio Turner a Charlotte Prodger, Museo Getty Davanti a un Ordine del Tribunale
Nel 2020, l'Academy Museum of Motion Pictures di Los Angeles ospiterà la mostra 'Regeneration: Black Cinema 1900-1970', sostenuta da una sovvenzione di 250.000 dollari del secondo premio annuale Sotheby's Prize. La selezione è stata effettuata da una giuria che includeva il presidente di Sotheby's Allan Schwartzman. Martedì, durante una trasmissione della BBC, è stato rivelato che Charlotte Prodger, l'artista di Glasgow che ha vinto il Turner Prize nel 2018, rappresenterà la Scozia alla Biennale di Venezia del 2019. La giuria del Turner Prize, presieduta da Farquharson, includeva Oliver Basciano, Elena Filipovic, Lisa LeFeuvre e Tom McCarthy. Inoltre, la Corte Suprema italiana ha ordinato al Getty Museum di restituire l'antica statua greca Victorious Youth, rinvenuta nel 1964.
