exhibition · 2026-04-20

Sophia Giovannitti will debut her exhibition, 'You know I got it So come and get it', at Blade Study in New York from June 6 to July 7, 2024. The showcase includes 'Crisis of Faith' (2022–2024) and a live lecture performance titled 'Does it have a sincere relationship to God?' on Thursday and Friday evenings for an audience of 12. In her work, Giovannitti reflects on her faith crisis stemming from her experience at a tech company where she felt taken advantage of. In 2023, she released the memoir 'Working Girl: On Selling Art and Selling Sex'. The installation 'Toby Tony Toni Me and God' (2024) features glass terrariums and a video loop that combines Toby Keith's music video with scenes from 'The Sopranos' and a documentary, as Giovannitti reinterprets country music in a progressive light while addressing critiques of her memoir.
