Sony World Photography Awards 2026 Architecture & Design Winners Announced
In the Architecture & Design category of the Sony World Photography Awards 2026, Joy Saha from Bangladesh secured the top position with her project Homes of Haor, which highlights vernacular architecture in Ashtagram, Kishoreganj. André Tezza from Brazil claimed the second spot for his work Everyday Structures, while Chen Liang from Mainland China took third place with Chinese Watchtowers. The shortlist featured entries from countries including Mexico, Iran, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Germany, and Poland. Celebrating its 19th year, the awards attracted over 430,000 entries from more than 200 nations. An exhibition will be held at Somerset House in London from April 17 to May 4, 2026. The Kaiping Diaolou and Villages were recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007.
