SON Restaurant by pinto Creates Its Own Environment in Rayong

architecture-design · 2026-05-28

Located in Tambon Noen Phra, Thailand, SON Restaurant was crafted by the architecture firm pinto. Nestled beneath casuarina trees along the main road of Rayong, this 260 m² establishment was finalized in 2026. The project was overseen by Miwa Negoro, with Jiranothai Vachanavuttivong serving as the lead architect and Pat Kasornpath as a technical team member. While surrounded by eateries that offer ocean views, mangrove edges, and riverside terraces, the restaurant creates its own unique spatial experience rather than relying on a striking natural setting to draw in customers. The materials used include APK brick, Dulux paint, earth tones, and tyk glass. W Workspace provided the photographs.
