SOMO, Italy's first modernariato fair, debuts in Milan at Superstudio Più

SOMO (Solo Modernariato), Italy's only fair dedicated entirely to 20th-century modernariato, moves from Alzano Lombardo to Milan for its first edition in the city. Held at Superstudio Più on Via Tortona 27 on May 23–24, 2026, the event features over 70 exhibitors from across Italy, including Curiosità d'Altri Tempi, Otomana, Sessantotto, Artime, Officina 84, Stov, and Creazioni D'Interni. The fair showcases furniture, lamps, and objects from the post-war period through the 1980s, aiming to elevate modernariato as an autonomous category distinct from antiques or generic vintage. Highlights include works by Luigi Caccia Dominioni, Franco Albini, Joe Colombo, Le Corbusier, Charles & Ray Eames, and brands like Artemide. The event targets collectors, architects, interior designers, and a new generation of enthusiasts interested in sustainability and craftsmanship.
