SOKOL Prize 2026 opens with AI and satire focus

Submissions for the 2026 SOKOL Prize, an international accolade celebrating digital caricature, critical drawing, and satire, are now open. The submission period extends from June 1 to December 31, 2026. This prize, which has been awarded every five years since 2018, is organized by the State of Lower Austria in partnership with the Karikaturmuseum Krems. The upcoming edition will place a particular focus on works that critically examine the influence of artificial intelligence on visual culture, public life, and satire. Winners will be recognized at a gala in July 2027, followed by an exhibition at the Karikaturmuseum Krems running until July 2028, highlighting contemporary caricature techniques in the digital era.
