Sohrab Mohebbi Appointed Director of SculptureCenter

Sohrab Mohebbi has been appointed as the new director of SculptureCenter, located in Long Island City, Queens, New York. He has been with the institution since 2018, most recently holding the position of curator-at-large. Mohebbi is also the curator for the upcoming 58th Carnegie International and will continue at the Carnegie Museum of Art until September, before starting at SculptureCenter in March. In his statement, he expressed excitement about the chance to explore innovative institutional dialogues at SculptureCenter. His previous work includes organizing solo exhibitions for artists such as Diane Severin Nguyen and Rindon Johnson. Kyle Dancewicz, who has been the interim director since September 2020, will transition to deputy director.
