SOHO Work and Living: Compact Residential Project in Calicut

SOHO Work and Living, a compact residential initiative by SOHO Architects, is situated on an 8.5-cent conserved plot in Calicut, Kerala. Finished in 2025, this 2140 ft² development represents one of two twin blocks created for two friends, sharing a cohesive architectural style while maintaining independent functions. The design prioritizes efficient use of space, adaptability to climate, and layered privacy within a mixed-use context. Miwa Negoro curated the project, with contributions from designers Suhail AK, Varun Gopal, and Nabil Nazar, while Sanoj M C oversaw execution. On the Soil Architects handled landscaping, and the contractor was Krishnan. Lighting was provided by Apta Lighting Design Studio and Spoon Lighting and Controls.
