architecture-design · 2026-04-30

Soho House Tokyo, the brand's 50th House, opened on April 8 inside Omotesando Grid Tower in Tokyo's Aoyama District. The private members' club occupies floors 11 to 14, with 42 guest rooms on two additional floors below. Facilities include a rooftop infinity pool lined with Tajimi tiles, a mirrored fitness studio, a sushi counter, the House Brasserie, two bars (one with a DJ booth), and a Cabaret Room. The interior features a deep burgundy color scheme inspired by Japanese lacquer, British paneling, tatami-patterned ceilings, and works by over 40 artists, mostly Japanese. Staff wear bespoke denim uniforms by Onitsuka Tiger. General manager Yuji Okada noted that the brand has been building a diverse community through its Cities Without Houses membership for eight years. Regional director Kelly Wardingham emphasized community building. Soho House opened three new Houses in 2025 and has plans for locations including Los Cabos (fall 2026), Palm Springs (2027), Hudson Valley, Sonoma, Flatiron (New York City), Milan, Madrid, Sydney, and New Delhi.
