Soggettiva Gallery Opens in Milan Dedicated to Alternative Movie Posters

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Soggettiva Gallery, the first gallery in Italy entirely dedicated to Alternative Movie Posters, opened in Milan on November 18, 2022. Located at Via Pasquale Sottocorno, the space was founded by Alberto Bozzoli and Raoul Simoni, who discovered this art form through an American artist. Alternative Movie Posters are reinterpretations of original film posters, focusing on emotional and engaging aspects of film narratives rather than didactic information. The gallery aims to both exhibit and produce limited-edition works, collaborating with Stamperia e Associazione Culturale Milano Printmakers for art printing. Its inaugural exhibition, "MOSTRI (sacri) vs MOSTRI (e basta)", features works by Tiziano Pantano (Tizio 0.32), Francesco Chiappara (Prenzy), Francesco Casolari, Daniel Dabrek, Silvia Cocomazzi, and Adam Juresko, alongside historical pieces from the gallery's collection. A second group show, "Unconventional Christmas", is scheduled for December 1, featuring works inspired by non-traditional Christmas films like "Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Home Alone".
