Sò Studio Transforms 38 m² Corner Building into D+dd Store in Qinhuangdao

Sò Studio has completed the renovation of a 38-square-meter corner building in Qinhuangdao's Friendship Bay into a retail space for D+dd. The compact structure, originally a service and support facility, sits at the edge of a community square surrounded by an auditorium, residential blocks, and buildings from various eras. Over years of use, the site had developed a distinct spatial identity shaped by pedestrian flows, social interactions, and community activities. The design team, led by Liu Mengjie, Wu Yifan, and Pan Yupeng, preserved this embedded character while adapting the interior for commercial use.
