Snot e Splash: Finnish brothers hunt a hole thief in new family film
Finnish director Teemu Nikki's new family adventure comedy 'Snot e Splash – Il mistero dei buchi scomparsi' (Snot and Splash – The Mystery of the Missing Holes) is set to release in Italian cinemas on November 14, distributed by I Wonder Pictures and Unipol Biografilm Collection. The film follows bickering brothers Snot and Splash who visit their grandmother in the snowy town of Acquainbocca during winter break, only to discover that holes—from keyholes to doughnut holes—are mysteriously vanishing. The duo embarks on a race against time to catch a thief stealing holes and save the townspeople. Nikki's film blends fairy tale and science fiction with humor, action, and tenderness, aiming to resonate with audiences of all ages. An illustrated book adaptation by writer Manlio Castagna and illustrator Gianluca Garofalo, published by Salani Editore, was previewed at Lucca Comics & Games 2024.
