Comedians George Fouracres and Celeste Dring, cast members of the new Saturday Night Live UK, describe the experience as both terrifying and amazing. Fouracres, who played Sir Keir Starmer in the first sketch, said he had never known such fear before stepping onto the studio floor for the live broadcast. Dring noted the vulnerability of performing live with sketches rewritten until the last second. The show, airing on Sky, features a studio audience, celebrity guest hosts, and live music. The pair, who grew up in the West Midlands and attended the same school and Cambridge University, were flown to New York last December to watch the US version. They emphasize the rarity of their shared journey and hope to showcase their hometown's talent. SNL UK will return after a week-long break on Saturday at 22:00 BST.
