SMEG at Milan Design Week 2026: Musa and Isola Collections Redefine Kitchen Design

At EuroCucina 2026, SMEG introduced two new collections, Musa and Isola, developed with BorromeodeSilva and Stefano Boeri Interiors respectively, marking a strategic extension of the brand's design language. Musa, designed by BorromeodeSilva, is a minimal, rigorous system with a restrained black and silver palette, including induction hobs, hoods, built-in coffee machines, and wall-integrated storage. Isola, by Stefano Boeri Interiors, positions appliances as central focal points with induction hobs featuring integrated extraction, suspended hoods, and modular illuminated rails; it won the Design Intelligence Award in 2025. SMEG also launched TOTAL MATTNESS, a matte finish system across product categories, and introduced the Moonlight finish for FAB refrigerators. Updates to the Dolce Stil Novo and Portofino ranges were presented, along with the Porsche x SMEG 917 Salzburg limited series of 1,970 numbered pieces in Salzburg Red, Carrara White, and Shade Green, referencing Porsche's 1970 Le Mans victory. The exhibition design emphasized materiality and physical interaction. Founded in Emilia-Romagna in 1948, SMEG continues to treat appliances as authored objects rather than background infrastructure, merging technological performance with a controlled aesthetic vocabulary.
