On May 9, 2025, the San Marco Art Center (SMAC) will be inaugurated on the second floor of the Procuratie Vecchie in Venice's Piazza San Marco. The architectural design, crafted by David Chipperfield Architects Milan, comprises 16 rooms situated along an 80-meter corridor, boasting over 50 windows. The center will be led by Anna Bursaux, David Gramazio, and David Hrankovic. The opening exhibitions will feature 'Migrating Modernism,' curated by Ann Stephen and Paolo Stracchi, and 'For All That Breathes On Earth,' dedicated to Jung Youngsun in collaboration with the MMCA. Additionally, 'The World Around On Site: Venice Biennale 2025' will take place on May 8, while 'The Quantum Effect' will delve into quantum science through art in autumn 2025.
