Slovenian design misfits take over Alcova at Milan Design Week 2026
House of Creatures, an exhibition of Slovenian design at Milan Design Week, features non-conforming works from 10 contemporary design practices. Presented by Slovenia's Centre for Creativity at the Alcova platform, the show includes Lara Bohinc's Compulsion Chair (a metal and wood chair stacked uncomfortably), Toasted Furniture's vessels made from heated plastic waste, Nejc Prah's seasonal vegetable prints, Soft Baroque's metal furniture, Sari Valenci's inflatable garments, Dan Adlešič's LED Flower Lamps with dehydrated sausage casing, and Juicy Marbles' plant-based steak. Curated by Vid Žnidaršič, Sera Malèna Eravci, Ryan Barriball, Urša Gantar, Tine Tribušon, and Gašper Uršič, the exhibition runs April 19–26, 2026 at the Baggio Military Hospital in Milan.
