Slalom and Teklan launch 'Soft Cubism' color-acoustic installation at Salone del Mobile 2026

architecture-design · 2026-04-21

During Milan Design Week 2026, Swedish colorist Teklan teamed up with Slalom, a leader in acoustic solutions, to unveil 'Soft Cubism' at Salone del Mobile. This installation features a new color palette inspired by Slalom's 'Acoustethics' philosophy, which merges acoustics, ethics, and aesthetics. Teklan, recognized for her architectural color forecasting, created a range of mineral, light, and subtle tones that interact with architecture and absorb light. The installation, located at Rho Fiera Milano's Hall 22, Booth A36, runs from April 21-26, 2026. It aims to balance sound and sight for human wellbeing, framing color as a design tool to alleviate stress from monochromatic spaces and enhance neuro-responses through nature-inspired hues.
