Skygolpe, an Italian artist born in 1986, is a prominent figure in the realm of crypto art. He made the leap from street art in London's Brick Lane to the digital art scene, minting his inaugural NFT in April 2020. He characterizes a crypto artist as someone who utilizes blockchain and NFTs, emphasizing that the concept existed before Beeple's $69 million auction at Christie's in March 2021.
