Sky Arte streams three documentaries on Michelangelo, Tintoretto, and Raphael

Sky Arte is offering free streaming of three documentary films dedicated to Italian Renaissance masters Michelangelo, Tintoretto, and Raphael. 'Michelangelo – Infinito', directed by Emanuele Imbucci, features actors Enrico Lo Verso and Ivano Marescotti portraying Michelangelo and Giorgio Vasari, with ultra-high-definition 4K HDR footage and digital effects. 'Tintoretto. Un Ribelle a Venezia', created for the artist's 500th birthday, was written by Melania G. Mazzucco with participation from director Peter Greenaway and narration by Stefano Accorsi, directed by Pepsy Romanoff. 'Raffaello – Il principe delle arti', directed by Luca Viotto, marks the first cinematic adaptation about Raphael, covering his life from Urbino to Florence and Rome, and analyzing 70 artworks. The film required 18 months of production, 30 weeks of shooting, over 100 professionals, 200 hours of footage, and 40 custom costumes. Art historians Vincenzo Farinella, Antonio Natali (former director of the Uffizi), and Antonio Paolucci (former director of the Vatican Museums) contributed expertise. The documentaries are available on Sky Arte as part of the 'Ingresso Libero' streaming initiative.
