other · 2026-04-27

The new season of 'Inseparabili. Vite all’ombra del genio', written and hosted by Carlo Lucarelli and produced by Bottega Finzioni for Sky Arte, premieres on Monday, February 17. Filmed in the grand halls of Salsomaggiore Terme, including Palazzo Berzieri and Palazzo dei Congressi, the series focuses on individuals who played pivotal roles in the lives of artists while remaining in the shadows. The first episode, 'Essere John Lennon', examines Mark David Chapman's obsession with John Lennon, leading to his murder on December 8, 1980. Chapman, who married Gloria Hiroko Abe in 1979 because she was Japanese like Yoko Ono, shot Lennon at 10:57 PM and then read 'The Catcher in the Rye'. The second episode covers Christian Brando, who on May 16, 1990, killed his sister's boyfriend Dag Drollet with a .45 caliber pistol at the family home on Mulholland Drive. Christian, son of Marlon Brando, had a troubled childhood marked by a custody battle, anorexia, and a kidnapping attempt by his mother Anna Kashfi. The series also explores stories of Philip K. Dick, Bela Lugosi, Marvin Gaye, Oscar Kokoschka, the Sex Pistols, and Zelda Fitzgerald.
