Sky Arte Series Explores Italy's Contemporary Art Spaces

The four-episode series "Italia Contemporanea" premieres on Sky Arte on Saturday, May 8, showcasing contemporary art venues across Italy. Produced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, created by TIWI in collaboration with Sky Arte, and hosted by critic and journalist Nicolas Ballario, each episode examines a specific theme through exemplary museums and artworks. A recurring red door symbolizes the transition into the contemporary realm, allowing Ballario to move from his studio to various locations where a guest awaits. Each episode includes an animated clip exploring a contemporary artist's life through a key work. The first episode, "Metropolis," focuses on major city museums: Museo del Novecento in Milan, MAXXI in Rome, Museo Madre in Naples, and MAMbo in Bologna. The guest is Marinella Senatore.
