Sky Arte's Artbox features Tino Sehgal and Jimmie Durham

The new episode of the series Artbox, airing Thursday, February 22 on Sky Arte HD, will feature two enigmatic contemporary artists: Tino Sehgal and Jimmie Durham. The episode was presented at Sala degli specchi of Palazzo Litta Cultura in Milan. Anglo-German artist Tino Sehgal, winner of the Golden Lion at the 2013 Venice Biennale, will host a performative event at OGR – Officine Grandi Riparazioni in Turin. Sehgal's works leave traces only in memory, as he provides no written explanations or catalogs and prohibits recording, filming, or photography, generating great anticipation. American artist Jimmie Durham, who has long ambiguously played on his Cherokee Indian origins, is surrounded by an equally mysterious aura. His exhibition at the Whitney Museum in New York, which showcased his genius often compared to Basquiat's, sparked heated controversy on social media. The episode also covers the Affordable Art Fair in Milan, focusing on the post-Expo transformation of the city.
