Sky Arte marks centenary of Remo Remotti with documentary

Sky Arte will air the documentary 'Ho rubato la marmellata – Vita di un artista politicamente scorretto' on Saturday, November 16, 2024, to mark the centenary of the birth of Remo Remotti, the Roman actor, poet, and singer. Directed by Gioia Magrini and Roberto Meddi, the film draws on their personal friendship and professional collaboration with Remotti. The documentary features footage from his theatrical performances and live concerts, archival material from Istituto Luce, clips shot by Meddi over the years, and testimonies from writer Michele Serra, art critic Gianluca Marziani, playwright and director Giampiero Solari, and actor and director Massimiliano Bruno. Remotti's wife Luisa Pistoia and daughter Federica also contribute memories. Remotti, who died in 2015, was known as a fierce and provocative artist—a poet, actor, humorist, painter, writer, sculptor, singer, and playwright—whose work was marked by paradox and love for others.
