Sky Arte HD premieres 'Grand'Italia', a new series starting Friday, September 9, 2016, at 9 PM. Created by Franco Marcoaldi, the show profiles six exceptional Italians who have made the country renowned globally in diverse fields. The first episode features actor and director Toni Servillo, filmed during rehearsals of 'Le voci di dentro' at the San Ferdinando theater in Naples, at his home in Caserta, and on the streets of his hometown. His brother Peppe Servillo, a singer and co-star in the Eduardo De Filippo play, contributes to the portrait. Subsequent episodes will highlight cartoonist Altan, artist Giosetta Fioroni, architect Renzo Piano, journalist Eugenio Scalfari, and food activist Carlo Petrini. Each subject is accompanied by a friend or collaborator as a 'testimonial' to reveal their human side. The series aims to counter fatalism and decline by showcasing passion and vitality.
