Sky Arte HD Honors Mimmo Rotella with Documentary on Tenth Anniversary of His Death

On the tenth anniversary of his death, Sky Arte HD will air the documentary "Strappi di vita" on Friday, October 7, paying homage to Mimmo Rotella, a revolutionary artist known for his decollage technique. The film features Rotella himself in a multi-voice dialogue with friends, critics, colleagues, gallerists, and family who accompanied his intense life and career. Among the materials is a "posthumous" conversation with Germano Celant, who contextualizes Rotella's work within its historical, artistic, and social framework. The documentary includes memories from friends like Christo and Getulio Alviani, as well as anecdotes from professionals Rotella collaborated with. Cécile Debray, curator at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, traces Rotella's journey from Catanzaro to major museums.
