Sky Arte Documentary on Pre-Raphaelites Premieres March 21

Sky Arte will premiere a documentary titled 'Preraffaelliti. Rinascimento Moderno' on Thursday, March 21, timed to the exhibition 'Preraffaelliti. Rinascimento Moderno' at Museo Civico San Domenico in Forlì. The documentary, co-produced by Ballandi and Ege Produzioni in collaboration with Fondazione Musei Civici San Domenico, Elfi Finpolo, and Mapei, explores around 300 works including paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, furniture, ceramics, glass and metal works, textiles, medals, illustrated books, manuscripts, and jewelry. British-Italian actress and model Jane Alexander guides viewers through the movement that challenged conventions in mid-19th century English painting. Specialists such as Gianfranco Brunelli, director of the Forlì museum complex, and exhibition curators Elizabeth Prettejohn, Peter Trippi, Cristina Acidini, and Francesco Parisi provide commentary on the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood founders John Everett Millais, William Holman Hunt, and Dante Gabriel Rossetti, as well as other artists.
