Sky Arte Documentary on Holocaust Survivor Edith Bruck

A documentary titled 'Edith' directed by Michele Mally will air on Sky Arte on Sunday, January 26. The film follows Holocaust survivor and writer Edith Bruck, born in Hungary in 1931, who lost her mother, father, and brother at Auschwitz-Birkenau. The documentary features previously unseen footage from 1982 showing Bruck in Hungary, blending childhood memories with the trauma of capture. It explores her enduring commitment to bearing witness and her life in Rome, where she has lived for over sixty years on Via del Babuino. The film also covers her love for poet Nelo Risi and her salvific passion for literature. The screenplay was co-written by Bruck and Giovanna Boursier.
