Sky Arte Documentary Goes Behind the Scenes of Armani Privé
A new documentary titled 'Armani Privé ‒ Lo sguardo oltre' airs on Sky Arte on Wednesday, January 16. For the first time, cameras gain access to the Armani atelier on via Borgonuovo in Milan, where sixty skilled seamstresses conceive, design, and sew Armani Privé garments destined for film stars and princesses. The film traces the creation of the autumn-winter 2018/2019 collection piece by piece, and also visits Armani/Silos on via Bergognone and the Italian Embassy in Paris, where ninety-six dresses were presented among gold, mirrors, and crystals. The documentary aims to show younger generations the traditional elegance of haute couture, blending luxury and a quest for perfection. It documents pre-show phases: atelier work, castings, fittings, and rehearsals. The sole protagonist is Giorgio Armani, portrayed through interviews with exceptional Italian and international friends and brand ambassadors.
