Sky Arte Documentary Explores Steven Spielberg's Life and Films

A documentary titled 'Spielberg' will air on Sky Arte HD and Sky Atlantic on Sunday, February 4, 2018, after its debut on Sky Cinema. Directed by Susan Lacy, the film offers an in-depth portrait of the acclaimed filmmaker Steven Spielberg, drawing from approximately thirty hours of interviews with the notoriously private director, as well as conversations with friends, family, and colleagues. The documentary traces Spielberg's career from his childhood in Phoenix, Arizona, through his parents' divorce and move to California, his turbulent early days at Universal Studios, and his breakthrough success with 'Jaws' in 1975. It also addresses his rejection of the 'commercial director' label despite his blockbuster hits, and his eventual reconciliation with his father.
