Sky Arte dedicates Tango Night to legendary dancers and Gotan Project
On Friday, May 27, Sky Arte HD will air a Tango Night featuring two programs. The evening opens with 'Un ultimo tango', a film directed by German Kral and produced by Wim Wenders, centered on Maria Nieves Rego and Juan Carlos Copes, the most famous tango couple in history. Now in their eighties, they share exclusive stories with young dancers and choreographers. The couple first brought tango from Buenos Aires milongas to world stages. The night closes with 'Gotan Project – Casinò de Paris', a 2011 live performance filmed by award-winning director Fabien Raymond. The band, founded by Philippe Cohen Solal, Christophe H. Müller, and Eduardo Makaroff, has been influential since the late 1990s. Sky Arte's website is powered by Artribune.
