Sky Arte airs documentary on Fernando Botero directed by Don Millar

The documentary "Botero – Una ricerca senza fine" directed by Don Millar will air on Sky Arte on Sunday, December 20. The film offers an intimate portrait of the Colombian artist Fernando Botero (born 1932 in Medellín), known for his distinctive voluminous figures. It features original footage shot across ten cities in China, Europe, New York, and Colombia, along with family photographs and videos. Millar spent 19 months on production and post-production; the artist's daughter Lina Botero was crucial in securing Botero's approval. The documentary includes interviews with curators, historians, and academics. Botero, who has lived in Italy since the 1980s, is particularly beloved there.
