Skulpturen Triennale Bingen turns Rhine riverbank into sculpture park
The Skulpturen Triennale Bingen has opened along the Rhine riverbank in Bingen, Germany, featuring 24 works by international artists. Curated by Sara Bernshausen and Lutz Driever, the outdoor exhibition runs through summer 2026. Highlights include Nadine Schemmann's wind-responsive painting on a historic crane, Michael Sailstorfer's rocket-like oven sculpture "Brenner R04", Max Brück's oversized bronze Brio train tracks titled "Stand by Me", Emilia Neumann's pigmented concrete forms, Bettina Allamoda's iridescent cherry blossom installation, and Valie Export's golden sculpture "Die Doppelgängerin" from 2010, which became a memorial after her death in May 2026.
