Škoda and Ricardo Orts Install Clay-Inspired Inflatable Volumes at Palazzo del Senato for Milan Design Week 2026

architecture-design · 2026-04-22

At Milan Design Week 2026, Spanish architect Ricardo Orts from Ulises Studio has unveiled a sensory installation for Škoda Auto, reimagining the Baroque courtyard of Palazzo del Senato with vibrant inflatable structures reminiscent of modeling clay. Running from April 21 to April 26, 2026, this exhibition introduces the Škoda Epiq electric crossover within a setting that juxtaposes its soft forms against 17th-century architecture. The design incorporates a concealed Epiq vehicle and the Epiq Sculpt, complemented by functional art like a Škoda Elroq mobile café. Attendees can enjoy yoga sessions, relaxation areas, and a creative space for clay activities, along with a digital dome for AI avatar creation and 'Epiq Talks.' The venue is located at Via Senato 10, emphasizing a human-centered experience.
