Skateboard Help Launches Social Initiative with Limited Edition Boards Supporting Social Skate

The Brazilian initiative Skateboard Help, inspired by The Skateroom, commissions original artworks from artists and skate enthusiasts for a limited series of 25 skateboards. Twenty percent of proceeds from the boards, priced at R$600 each, will benefit the NGO Social Skate. Founded in 2011 by skater and activist Sandro Testinha Soares, Social Skate promotes social, educational, and cultural inclusion for vulnerable children and adolescents in Poá, in the far eastern zone of São Paulo. For the launch, artist Fabiano Rodrigues, who began photographing while skateboarding professionally for 15 years, and Akira Shiroma feature their work from the RATSREPUS series on the boards. Rodrigues is donating 100% of his fee for this first edition to the NGO. Future participating artists will be revealed gradually, with Paulo Nimer Pjota, represented by Galeria Mendes Wood DM, already confirmed. The project is promoted via the Instagram profile Skateboard Help, and sales are conducted through Galeria Kogan Amaro. The numbered and signed boards are a fusion of sport and art for social impact.
