Six New Art Books: From Christo to Pinocchio

Artribune highlights six recent art and culture publications. Zornitza Kratchmarova's 'Trasformazioni. L’arte nascosta di Christo e Jeanne-Claude' (Morellini Editore, €13.90) offers behind-the-scenes accounts of ten monumental installations by the duo, with a preface by sociologist Ettore Camuffo. Mariopaolo Fadda's 'Altamont 1969. I Rolling Stones e il concerto della morte' (Odoya, €16) reconstructs the violent Altamont Free Concert where Hells Angels served as security, marking the end of the flower power era. MinaLima Classics, founded by Harry Potter graphic designers Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima, releases illustrated editions of 'Pinocchio' (€25, endorsed by Fondazione Collodi) and 'The Beauty and the Beast' (€20). Giulia Orombelli's 'Imparare davanti a un quadro' (Wizart) is a manual for teachers and parents on engaging children with art, based on her twenty years of experience. The 'Ronin Home Edition' special issue (free on Issuu) features comic plates by various authors on Covid and quarantine. Alessandro Zignani's 'Ludwig Van Beethoven. Una nuova interpretazione della vita e delle Opere' (Zecchini Editore, €33) marks the composer's 250th birth anniversary.
