Six New Art and Culture Books: From Biennale Catalogues to Digital Storytelling

Artribune highlights six recent publications spanning art, music, cinema, and digital culture. The 48th Venice International Theatre Festival catalogue (Biennale Teatro Venezia, 14-25 September 2020, 588 pages, €15) features artist contributions on censorship and Covid-19 adaptations. Maurizio Blatto's 'Sto ascoltando dei dischi' (Add Editore, 320 pages, €13) collects rock anecdotes with a cover by Alessandro Baronciani. 'Una Dimensione Etica' by Edoardo Di Mauro and Paola Russo (Prinp, 164 pages, €20) surveys public art from the late 19th century to today. 'Il linguaggio universale dell'immagine' by Giorgio Arcari and Roberto Carlucci (Sabir Editore, €16) is the first manual for teaching cinema in middle schools, based on a decade of experience at Locatelli–Quasimodo in Milan. The Centro Pecci in Prato launches 'My Art Guide Tuscany' (Lightbox, bilingual Italian/English), covering contemporary art spaces, wineries, and hotels. Elisa Bonacini's 'I Musei e le forme dello Storytelling digitale' (Aracne, 308 pages) explores digital storytelling and the 'museum of connection', with prefaces by Davide Tanasi and Antonia Liguori.
