Six Must-See Fairs During ARCOmadrid 2018 Week
The 2018 edition of ARCOmadrid, overseen by Carlos Urroz, introduces its inaugural theme: 'The future is not what will happen, but what we will do.' This theme is curated by Chus Martínez, Rosa Lleó, and Elise Lame, featuring 19 galleries. Overall, the fair showcases 208 galleries from 29 nations, including 160 in the main program, 13 in Dialogos curated by Maria De Corral, and 19 under-seven spaces in Opening, curated by Ilaria Gianni and Stefanie Hessler. Among the prominent exhibitors are Hauser & Wirth, Thaddeus Ropac, Team Gallery, and Alexander and Bonin. The event includes 35 stands from South America, 15 from Brazil, and extends invitations to 300 collectors and 200 professionals. JustMad transitions to JustSpace, while Drawing Room Madrid presents 30 galleries, and Urvanity Art highlights contemporary artists.
