Six Must-See Exhibitions in Vienna Over New Year's

Luca Lo Pinto curates 'Time is Thirsty' at Kunsthalle Wien, his final project before leaving to direct MACRO in Rome. The show synchronizes 1992 (the year Kunsthalle was founded) with the present, featuring works by Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Sissel Tolaas, Peter Rehberg, Vipra, and Fabio Quaranta. At Leopold Museum, 'Deutscher Expressionismus' presents 130 works from the Braglia and Johenning collections, including pieces by Emil Nolde, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, and Wassily Kandinsky. The Albertina Museum presents a survey on Albrecht Dürer, and Kunsthistorisches Museum pairs Caravaggio with Bernini alongside works by Annibale Carracci, Poussin, Guercino, and Reni.
