Six Gallery Shows to See in Naples This Summer
Naples has established itself as a significant center for art and tourism on the global stage, featuring new galleries and artist residencies that present exhibitions, film showings, and live performances. According to data from the Centro Studi di Turistici di Firenze and Confesercenti, revealed at the 22nd Borsa del Turismo in May, Naples ranks as Italy's second art city, following Matera, with a remarkable growth of over 90% from 2010 to 2017. From June to September 2018, notable exhibitions included Rebecca Horn's 'Passing the moon of evidence' at Studio Trisorio, DAMP's 'Dove non fui mai' at Mapils Gallery, and Glenn Ligon's 'Tutto poteva' at Thomas Dane Gallery, among others.
