Six Female Artists Claim Body and Gender at Casa Testori
The group exhibition 'Segni di me. Il corpo, un palcoscenico' at Casa Testori in Milan features works by six young female artists exploring the female body as a political space. Curated by Marlene L. Müller, the show opened with a performance by Giorgia Ohanesian Nardin, photographed by Iman Salem. Artists include Iva Lulashi, whose nudes become liberation tools; Margaux Bricler's pseudo-human bodies celebrating female power; Zehra Doğan, who uses urine and menstrual blood to poeticize rejection; and Binta Diaw, whose photographs address identity and belonging through marked human landscapes. The exhibition occupies the ground floor of Casa Testori, once the home of writer Giovanni Testori, and his chiaroscuro works are visible from the old kitchen. The show runs from April 2022.
