Six Contemporary Sculptures to Debut at D'Annunzio's Vittoriale Park

exhibition · 2026-05-05

Beginning March 11, 2017, Gabriele D'Annunzio's Vittoriale estate park in Gardone Riviera will showcase six new sculptures from contemporary Italian artists as part of the event "Ho cercato l'armonia." Featured works include Ugo Riva's "Tregua" and "Anita la rossa," Girolamo Ciulla's two untitled bas-reliefs alongside "Colonna con tempio," Cesare Inzerillo's "28 febbraio 1938," Dario Tironi's "Senza titolo," Federico Severino's "Il silenzio," and Michela Benaglia's "Divinità femminile." Giordano Bruno Guerri, the president of the Fondazione Vittoriale, expressed that the chosen pieces reflect D'Annunzio's stance against "volgari intrusioni." These sculptures are intended to be temporary and may be moved by future directors, fostering a conversation between historical and modern art.
